PROGRAMME FOR SOCIAL AND CIVIC INTEGRATION OF ROMA PEOPLE IN POLAND FOR 2021-2030
CO-FINANCING: 10 490,00 PLN
TOTAL VALUE OF THE PROJECT: 11,890.00 PLN
The Martyrological Museum in Żabikowo is one of the most important points on the map of martyrdom of World War II victims. By implementing the project, we want to provide Roma children and young people with the necessary knowledge of what the history of the Second World War and the Holocaust was like in a broader form. The martyrdom of the various victims, the mechanism of Nazi policy and the resulting dangers of national socialist ideology. The museum in Żabikowo is an excellent place to learn about this history, and by the way it is located not far from Gorzów Wielkopolski, in a neighbouring voivodship, so participants will also learn about the important history of the region.
As part of the project, we plan to organise an educational trip combined with a visit to the Martyrological Museum in Żabikowo and educational workshops for Roma children and young people, bringing the subject of the Holocaust and the Second World War closer to these age groups in an accessible way. The project runs from 1.05.2023 to 31.07.2023 and will cover 15 people (children and young people) from the Roma community.
